“ Great place for breakfast. Friendly, efficient team. The Coffee Cup is a welcoming and a bit of a throwback to Main Street cafes of the 50's and 60's. The menu offers a great choices and the food hits the spot. Definitely a place to go back to...often. ”
“ SO WORTH THE WAIT! Just beat the waitlist being full! Had to wait 30 minutes or so and when we were called noted that the sign was out that the waitlist was full for the day. They close at 2:00 and the waitlist fills up by 1:00 or earlier when the weather is nice. GET HERE EARLY! Everything we have had here has been excellent! Love the water ski / lake theme ambiance! Also love that they have been featured on the show Diners Drive Ins and Dives!! See you there! ”
“ It was a busy Saturday morning and the atmosphere was great and laid back. Food portions were huge and just ok. Service was ok too. ”
“ Our favorite! We have been coming to Coffee Cup for almost 15 years and it never disappoints! We love their burritos and omelets and they have a great drink selection too! The service is always quick and even on a busy weekend, they still get you seated within the hour. The restaurant has the most unique decorations and lots of memorabilia, it's so fun to look around and see all that is on the walls. We always bring out of town guests here, definitely recommend for breakfast/ brunch!! ”
“ Our family finally had a chance to visit The Coffee Cup, a super charming diner in the heart of Boulder City. It's always busy so plan accordingly but there is lots of seating and they are efficient at moving people in and out. There's also a large counter if you are looking to jump in and out quickly. The menu is large with very reasonable prices and lots to choose from, whether breakfast or lunch. In fact, the menu is two sided with a ton of breakfast items on one side, and a similarly huge selection of lunch choices on the reverse. My daughter had French Toast, my wife had a standard eggs/hash browns/sausage links classic breakfast, and I decided to try the "Food Network" recommended Meatloaf and eggs. We all enjoyed our meals...my wife's was as expected but a shout out to super crispy hash browns (recommended!) and we all loved the thick homestyle sourdough toast provided with our meals. My daughter's French Toast was delicious and she loved it-- super good quality and great portions. As for my meatloaf, the eggs and hashbrowns were great but oddly, the meatloaf arrived cold and unfortunately needed to be sent back. The server brought back a brand new side of meatloaf after a few minutes and it was much better and had good flavor. The brown gravy that was over it was delicious and paired perfectly for this guilty pleasure diner staple. Overall, there are also lot of breakfast choices in Boulder City but we really enjoyed our time at The Coffee Cup. If you don't mind a short wait, you will be rewarded with some of the least expensive menu items we have seen lately, and great food quality overall. There is a reason they seem to have a loyal following and we look forward to returning! One quick note - the name The Coffee Cup can be a bit misleading as their coffee is more the diner version of it with endless pours of typical brewed goodness coming to your table. That said, if you desire a bit more espresso leaning specialty stuff, there is a great roaster a few doors down just FYI. ”
“ Got here early and we were let right in--we were waiting for a friend to join us and the waitress was very kind and patient with us. I ordered Eggs, Hashbrowns and White Rice w/coffee, the coffee was very good but being so far from the house (Las Vegas) I just was not sure how much to drink :) My friend ordered the Chicken fried steak which he said was fantastic, another friend had suggested it was the best he had ever had and according to my friend, the information was correct and our other friend ordered Ham and eggs and she loved it. It's a cute restaurant--No booths, at least not on the side we were on but I like tables and the walls are decorated with photos and of course the fact that Guy Fieri from "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" visited is made clear, in fact it's how I found out about the restaurant. The bathroom is private which I LOVE. They do have a Vegan option--I am an Ovo Vegetarian (I do not eat meat, dairy or honey but do eat eggs) so next time I might try that and there will be a next time! ”
“ Once upon a time, there used to be an institution called the American diner. Always open, it served as a beacon in the night for the poor, the hungry, the shivering masses. Sadly they are a dying institution. Fear not though as in Boulder City, NV exists a strange spin-off called the Coffee Cup. Only open for breakfast and lunch and then the kitchen closes and it morphs into a pub in the evening. As a diner, wow. Has everything. Huge delicious portions. Long menu with everything you could possible want. Prices you haven't seen since 1998. Gender politics of the front of house (all women) and back of house (all men) that you haven't seen since 1978. But hell, it's the middle of nowhere and damn the milk shakes are epic. They prefer cash. Credit is a tiny extra fee. More stickers and wall bling than you could ever imagine. And unless the fake memorabilia of your hard rocks and Texas steak houses, it all is genuine. It's a weird mix of water skiing and military but hell, I appreciate the service and sacrifice of our troops too. In any case, if you're off to the Hoover dam or Grand Canyon then save some space in your yummy for the Coffee Cup. We ended up with three meals worth of eatings. Epic. ”
“ The food was all good. Notable: - The corned beef hash was perfect, with a nice crispness to it. - The onions rings that came with the BLAT sandwich were perfect. Nice breaded crunch, onion stayed inside with the batter/breading. - The meatloaf and gravy were delicious. Cute place with lots of kitschy stuff, signed photo from chef Guy Fieri, who featured the place on his Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives show. Come early, like before 8:30 am, if you want to get in without waiting very long. The service was friendly and efficient. Very enjoyable visit. ”
“ If Boulder City ever considered having a sister city in the United States, I would nominate Harper's Ferry, West Virginia. Both cities pack a hefty punch in the small, historic towns category and effortlessly cater to the diverse tastes of history buffs, outdoor enthusiasts, foodies, antique & vintage shoppers, bikers, and a hodgepodge of other domestic & international tourists. I'll leave you with these two fun facts & my review of The World Famous Coffee Cup Cafe to illustrate my point: Fun Fact #1: The Boulder City Historic District--where this restaurant is located--is Nevada's largest listing on the National Register of Historic Places with 514 buildings. Fun Fact #2: Boulder City is one of two cities in the state of Nevada that bans gaming/casinos, and it's the only city in Southern Nevada with a growth ordinance to preserve its small town feel. The city is perched above Lake Mead and Hoover Dam (which created the town) and is a mecca for kayaking, biking, hiking, water sports, stargazing, exploring old mining ghost towns, etc. Restaurant Review: The World Famous Coffee Cup Cafe is one of the more popular restaurants in Boulder City, and it's solid as a rock. I stopped by for Sunday brunch this past weekend with my cousin and a friend, and there was roughly a 30-35 minute wait. No problem at all; that gave us some time to explore the locally owned businesses in the historic district and grab coffee from the coffee shop at the end of the block. Once we got back to the restaurant and were able to grab a table, everything went off without a hitch. First of all, we received satisfactory customer service. The food also lived up to the hype. Both of my dining companions ordered the Breakfast Tacos, and my cousin could not stop raving about how bomb and filling they were. While my friend's food critiques were a lot more demure, he also noted the tacos were pretty tasty. I ordered the 3 Egg White Omelette (86 the Swiss cheese) with cottage cheese and a cup of fruit on the side. I also ordered a side of extra crispy home fries for everyone at the table to share family-style. Everything came out just how I wanted, and I left the restaurant a happy camper. On a final note, the colorful and fun design aesthetic at The Coffee Cup is part of the overall experience, and it kept me thoroughly entertained during my dining experience. It was also a good conversation starter at our table as we discussed the abundance of surf boards and water skis at a restaurant in the Mojave Desert. Note: This restaurant has been featured on The Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Somehow, I forgot to grab a picture of Guy Fieri's poster on their wall while juggling different priorities during my group brunch. ”
“ Another place I got a chance to try that was on dinner, drives & dives. We had just done a Hoover's damn tour. This place was recommended by my husband aunt. They have a wide variety of food. You can tell this is a local spot. The prices were extremely reasonable. They server Pepsi which is a plus for my husband. ”
